All inclusive service

Parents Abroad guardianship does not differentiate between levels of support for your child. All children registered with Parents Abroad receive the same quality of service throughout the time they are being educated in the UK.

We will:

  • Provide advice and guidance to prepare you and your child for arrival in the UK and at your chosen boarding school
  • Assist with passport, visa and travel arrangements
  • Provide advice on belongings and medical insurance for your child
  • Meet your child on first arrival in the UK and accompany him or her safely to the school
  • Liaise with you and the school to check that airport transfer arrangements are in place for subsequent travel to and from the UK
  • Provide advice and support to help your child settle in at the school
  • Liaise with you and the school on pocket money arrangements
  • Provide assistance with uniform and mobile telephone purchases
  • Manage purchases authorised on your behalf and provide ~ termly statement of your account
  • Make background checks on prospective guardian families to assess their suitability
  • Select a guardian family and a home appropriate for your child to stay with at exeat weekends and during half-term
  • Organise transport arrangements between the school and the guardian family
  • Arrange for the guardian family to attend a school social event each term
  • Make payment of expenses to guardian families on your behalf
  • Provide 24-hour emergency contact while your child is in the UK
  • Act on your behalf in the event of an emergency
  • Liaise with school staff to monitor your child's welfare
  • Visit your child at school each term
  • Sign parental consent forms for school trips on your behalf
  • Carefully monitor your child's academic achievements and evaluate school grades/reports each term
  • Attend all parent / teacher meetings and report back to you
  • Provide advice on the curriculum, including assistance with GCSE, A Level and IB subject choices
  • Act in an advisory role on the selection of the best school for your child and in procedures for registration
  • Advise on university choices and admission procedures

Our Consultancy

We recognise that you may require additional support at critical times while your child is being educated in the UK. For example, in addition to providing advice and making recommendations, we can personally accompany your child to interviews at potential new schools. Charges for consultancy reflect the level of additional support required.
